After unfurling Christiana's bizarre story, the spotlight shifts to Albert Barker, Sidney's grief-stricken younger brother. Albert was haunted by his brother's untimely death for years. Angered by Christiana's unpunished crimes, he fell into a pit of resentment and madness. His life became a tumultuous storm of alcohol, drugs, and reckless gambling. He teetered on the edge of mortality—his life or that of others hinged on the fickle roll of dice!

The Routine

Following the story of The Chocolate Creme Killer, the performer introduces "Albert's Poison Box". He extracts the 'Bet a'Bob' game board from it, showing six numbered rings. 'Bet a'Bob' was an old-fashioned midway or fairground game where players placed various amounts of money on the six rings. The participant was invited to wager at least a penny and then roll a pair of dice. The outcome of the dice roll would start eliminating portions of the staked money, with the remainder being the player's prize. More often than not, the winnings would be considerably less than the original bet.

However, with Albert, the game took on a more dangerous edge. His stakes were far more significant than simple pennies. He viewed his life as trivial, willing to risk it all. Thus, he brought his deadly game to London's West End clubhouses to satisfy his disturbing desires. Instead of money, Albert began using five different poisons, taken directly from Christiana Edmunds' poison box and one 'safe' bottle. This deadly assortment mirrored the five loaded chambers and one empty slot in a game of Russian roulette.

In the elite gentlemen's clubs, Albert would target affluent gamblers. He would initiate his dangerous game in a dimly lit, smoke-filled back room. A substantial stack of £5 notes was placed alongside the poison box and game board. He would then explain the diabolical rules of play...
