Fynder:The Realm of Fairies & Orphiká by Prof BC

Lebanon Circle is proud to present the latest magical offering from Prof BC, two amazing decks that use the same handling and method but use contrasting props and stories to achieve a very different atmosphere and impression upon the mind of the spectator.

FYNDER: the Realm of Faeries version & Orphiká: the Tarot version of a mental-projection CAAN routine, created, produced, and presented by Professor BC for the edification of the masses and amusement of children.

EFFECT (from the performance manual):

The performer displays two packs of cards. One is a normal set of 22, the other is a similar set of blank cards (printed with a neutral design). The first set is displayed and fanned through to demonstrate that it is quite normal, which, in fact, it is. 

The spec is asked to name any number from 1-to-22, and the performer counts to that number in a randomizing but very open and fair manner. The card that is discovered at the selected number is given to the spec, who is then asked to visualize that card somewhere in the blank deck of cards.

The blank deck is likewise fanned through and shown to be precisely as it appears to be.

The spec is now asked to name a number, which can be the same number as before or any other number from 1-to-22.

Once again, the performer counts to that number very openly and fairly, again showing the individual cards, as before, to demonstrate that they are truly blank both front-and-back (they truly are) until the spec’s number is reached.

That card, and that card alone, is seen very faintly to display the card freely selected from the normal deck that the spectator has apparently thought-projected into the blank deck at the precise location she freely selected. 

All cards are left for inspection.

• The blank cards really are blank (printed with a neutral design), front & back.
• The thought-projected card really is the only such card in the deck.
• Nothing is switched or ditched.
• Nothing is hidden.
• Nothing is sneaked into (or out of) either deck.
• No palming.
• No tricky moves.
• The spec genuinely sees every card used.
• Instantly resets.
• Can be performed to reveal any card in the pack.
