“The box you see before you has been in my family for nearly a thousand years. Contained within is the incorruptible finger of my medieval ancestor, a holy relic of the highest order. Its existence and the stories surrounding it have been denied by the Vatican yet it was Pope Urban II who personally instigated a holy crusade against Lucifer in the year 1100. The unbelievable series of events have never been officially recorded by the church yet they been documented by my family, passed down from father to son over the centuries.

The box contains the incorruptible finger of Sir Percival, the ring it wears is forged from the crucifixion nails of Jesus Christ. Nearly a thousand years old the finger has not decayed or perished, it is eternally preserved by the power of the Holy Ghost. Each finger is individually crafted using casts taken from real human bones and sculpted onto a wire frame. The finger is then ‘mummified’ using the same technique used to create the Mummified Derbyshire Fairy. The material, although delicate looking, is hard wearing and can be handled regularly without risk of damage. Every detail from the cracked nail to the hair on the knuckles has been expertly applied to create a level of realism that make your audience recoil in disgust.

Effect 1 – The Exorcism

A deck of cards is shuffled and a card is freely selected, the volunteer takes a pen and writes ‘666’ upon the card. The card is then returned to the middle of the deck thus ‘possessing’ the deck. The deck is placed face down and the holy ring is removed from the mummified finger. A pinch of brimstone cotton is placed inside the ring to absorb the holy power. A small amount of holy salt is taken from the vial and the sprinkled in the sign of the cross over the cards and the ring and is placed on the deck. The brimstone cotton is lit to provide the temporary portal for the evil to escape. Before the spectators eyes the demon materialises and is seen to escape from the deck in the form of a black serpent. Once the demon has been exorcised the scorched top card is turned over to reveal the spectator’s chosen card marked 666!

Effect 2 – Nostradamus’ Book Test

“Upon this finger is a ring, a ring that allows the owner to see the future just by looking through it”. Any book, any page. The factors that make the ring of Nostradamus circle the predicted word are totally random yet your sealed prediction will always be 100% correct.

Effect 3 – The Resurrection

Adorning the finger is one of three rings. The finger and ring are combined to produce of the most versatile bizarre magic effects on the market. A small but powerful neodymium magnet is also installed in the finger tip allowing it to point, move and tremble to life without any physical contact from the performer.
